Terms of Service
From everyone behind Selvo, thank you for using our product. We built Selvo to help SaaS teams create professional help centers without the complexity or pricing surprises. We want you to succeed with it.
When we say "we," "us," or "Selvo," we mean M&S CapitalSoft LLC, the company behind selvo.co. When we say "you," we mean you — the person or organization that signed up for a Selvo account. When we say "service," we mean Selvo — the help center platform at selvo.co, app.selvo.co, and any help center hosted on hc.selvo.co subdomains or custom domains.
By using Selvo, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Account terms
You're responsible for your account. Keep your password secure. Use a strong one. We can't and won't be liable for any loss from unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Selvo.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One person, one account — don't share login credentials.
You're responsible for all activity and content under your account and within your workspaces.
Payment and billing
Selvo offers four plans: Free, Starter ($19/month), Pro ($49/month), and Enterprise ($99/month). Every paid plan includes unlimited team members. The price on the page is the price you pay.
We bill monthly through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month. We charge your card on file at the start of each billing period.
If your payment fails, we'll retry a few times and notify you by email. If we can't collect payment after reasonable attempts, we downgrade your account to the Free plan. We never delete your content because of a billing issue — we freeze access to paid features instead.
All fees are exclusive of taxes. You're responsible for any applicable taxes based on your location.
Prices can change. If we raise prices, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price takes effect at your next billing cycle. If you don't agree with the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your account at any time from your account settings. No phone calls. No hoops. No "retention specialists."
When you cancel a paid plan, you keep access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account moves to the Free plan.
If you want to delete your account entirely, you can do that too. We delete your data within 60 days. Some data persists in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which backups cycle out.
Refunds: We want satisfied customers, not hostages. If you just signed up and the product isn't what you expected, email hello@selvo.co within 30 days and we'll refund you. If you forgot to cancel a couple months ago and haven't used the service since, reach out — we'll work with you. We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis with a strong bias toward doing the right thing.
Uptime and support
We design Selvo for high availability. Your published help centers need to be accessible to your customers, and we take that seriously. But we don't offer a formal SLA. Things break sometimes. We fix them as fast as we can.
We provide support via email at hello@selvo.co. We aim to respond within one business day.
We reserve the right to temporarily disable the service for maintenance, updates, or security patches. We'll give advance notice when possible.
What you can't do
We trust our customers. But some things aren't allowed:
- Don't break the law. Don't use Selvo for anything illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
- Don't harm others. No harassment, hate speech, doxxing, threats, or publishing someone's private information without consent.
- Don't abuse the system. No automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks, or attempts to exploit vulnerabilities. If you find a security issue, email hello@selvo.co — we'll thank you.
- Don't impersonate. Don't pretend to be someone you're not or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
- Don't spam. Don't use Selvo to distribute spam or malware.
- Don't infringe. Don't publish content you don't have the right to use. Respect copyrights and trademarks.
- Don't mine cryptocurrency. Don't use our infrastructure for mining.
If you violate these rules, we'll contact you first when possible. Depending on severity, we might warn you, suspend your account, or terminate it. We try to be reasonable, but we act quickly when other customers or systems are at risk.
Your content
You own your content. Articles, collections, images, and everything you create in Selvo belongs to you.
By using Selvo, you grant us a license to host, display, and distribute your content — because that's what a help center does. We need this license to serve your articles to your visitors, generate search results, and provide API access. This license exists only so we can operate the service. If you delete your content or close your account, this license ends.
Published help center content is publicly accessible by design. That's the whole point.
Copyright
If you believe content on a Selvo-hosted help center infringes your copyright, email hello@selvo.co with the specific URL and a description of your claim. We respond to valid copyright complaints and remove infringing content.
Custom domains and API access
Starter plans and above can use custom domains for their help center. We provision SSL certificates automatically through Vercel. You're responsible for configuring your DNS correctly.
We provide API access (including an MCP server for AI tools) authenticated with API keys. Keep your API keys secure. You're responsible for any actions taken using your keys. Revoke compromised keys immediately from your account settings.
Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. The short version: we collect the minimum data needed to run the service, we never sell your data, and we don't track your help center visitors with cookies.
Service changes
We improve Selvo continuously. We add features, change interfaces, and occasionally remove things that aren't working. If we make changes that significantly affect your use of the service, we'll give you advance notice.
If we ever shut down Selvo entirely (we don't plan to, but we're being honest), we'll give you at least 90 days' notice and a way to export all your data.
Liability
We do our best to provide a reliable, secure service. But we provide Selvo "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Our total liability to you for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
This doesn't limit our liability for things that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Wyoming. We both agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. For minor changes (fixing a typo, clarifying wording), we'll update the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Selvo after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
We'll keep a changelog of significant updates on this page.
